Fenty Beauty gloss bomb universal lip luminizer review

Fenty Beauty is a brand that has taken the beauty word by storm and I couldn’t help but get my hands on of the most popular products, the Fenty Beauty gloss. For the past few years everyone’s preference seems to have geared towards matte lips. I’m personally a fan of a mix, a beautiful cream finish, but that’s not to say I can’t appreciate a gorgeous gloss or matte lip.

The most important thing of all is how this gloss looks, it’s undoubtedly one of the most beautiful lip products I’ve discovered recently and leaves lips looking plump, hydrated, full and lacquered. As you would expect the formula has some tackiness to it, but it’s bearable. The formula is tacky enough that it lasts for some period of time and doesn’t slip off (but it is a gloss after all, so wear of 3-4 hours is what you can expect, but if you drink or eat be ready to reapply) Comfortable enough that your lips don’t feel as though they’ve been glued together, this also prevents the gloss from being a strong magnet for hair, although as with any gloss the inevitable hair stuck to lips scenario is still bound to happen. The scent is strong, and it won’t be to everyone’s taste (think Strawberry Lip Smackers, circa 2003) but it is bearable and for most will not be cause for complaint.
With a gorgeous pearlescent peachy warm shimmer with a hint of gold, the colour is reminiscent of the everso popular NARS Orgasm shade, but slightly more forgiving. Unlike the NARS, this gloss has less pigment and more light reflecting particles, which allow it to be worn by a variety of skintones and look great. From the fairest skintones (like mine) to even the darkest, this gloss looks incredible on every shade of skin. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a smoky eye or bronzy makeup look.
As seen above the beautiful rich shade adds gloss and shine to the lips. The gloss is smooth and the shimmer feels undetectable leaving for a grit free feeling. There is no chunky flakes, and the formula hydrates lips instead of drying them out, and does not overly accentuate texture such as flakiness or fine lines.
