Split ends, color damage, and dullness are all signs of over-worked hair. Luckily for you, summer is the time to let your hair down…so to speak. These hot three months are a time to give your flat iron a rest and embrace natural locks. So, the question remains - do you have healthy hair habits? Find out below!

You invest in good brushes.
Believe it or not, your brush plays a big part in the health of your hair. Brushing too rigorously when your hair is too damp or dry actually makes it more susceptible to breakage. There are a multitude of brush options that offer different benefits. The best options out there are “wet” shower brushes, wide tooth combs, and boar brushes.
You use a deep conditioner weekly.
Give those split-ends a little love with a three-minute mask once a week. Not only does this Aussie 3 minute miracle deep conditioner product smell amazing, but I’ve also found it improves overall hair health over time. Don’t forget to apply it strictly to the ends to avoid a greasy scalp!
You always have heat protection products nearby.
If you do decide to pull out the hot tools this summer, make sure to religiously apply heat protection spray like Nexxus Heat Protexx. When applied to the end of hair strands, this spray acts like a barrier and can protect hair from breakage for even when you're on the hottest tool setting.
You aren't afraid to try hair supplements.
Mom always told you to take your vitamins. The addition of health hair supplements like Superior Source can be a hair insurance policy, and are preservative-free and potent. Feel free to check out other hair dietary supplements, like Hairfinity healthy hair complex for faster-growing hair.
