First look: MAC x Aaliyah

If there were ever a makeup collaboration that has been years in the making. It's this one. In fact, this is one collaboration that was so popular among MAC beauty junkies that they literally demanded its creation. About a year ago, we first started hearing whispers that a MAC x Aaliyah tribute collaboration was in the works. And then last August we got the official word that the collab was happening. And guess what? The time is now.

We finally have some more details and a release date for the new Aaliyah for MAC collection. Starting June 20 online and June 21 in stores, you'll be able to get your hands on two new launches—a lipstick and a palette—inspired by the legendary singer. You might recall the Aaliyah for MAC collection first started out as a fan-driven campaign after the success of the MAC x Selena collection of 2016. MAC heard the pleas of fans of the singer and actress and created a warm espresso-esque lipstick shade and a rich matte-meets-shimmer shadow palette. See the products below.

In addition, each product is packaged in regal burgundy packaging with silver script of the singer's signature. If this doesn't scream '90s powerhouse, we don't know what else does.
